Pete Townshend: Inside The Memoir

Like he did on Monday at the New York Public Library, Pete Townshend broke out his guitar when he did an in-store appearance Tuesday night at Barnes & Noble in the Union Square section of Manhattan in support of this week's publication of his memoir, Who I Am. Whereas Monday it was two lesser known tracks off Quadrophenia -- "I'm One" and "Drowned" -- on Tuesday it was the anthem "Won't Get Fooled Again."

Pete Townshend Told His Version Of The Truth in New Memoir

Pete Townshend is busy promoting his new memoir, Who I Am. and will appear today (October 11th) signing copies of the book at Ridgewood, New Jersey's Bookends book store at 6 p.m. In addition to appearing on ABC's The View, he's already sat down for a two-hour Q&A at the New York Public Library to discuss the autobiography.

Pete Townshend Publishes ‘Who I Am’ Today

Out today is Pete Townshend's long-awaited autobiography, called, Who I Am. Townshend, who began posting excerpts on his website several years back, talks candidly about his the sexual abuse he suffered as a child, his creative process both with and without the Who, his personal life -- and for the first time in detail, his 2003 arrest and caution for logging on to porn sites believed to carry images of children.

Pete Townshend: Making The Rounds [VIDEO]

Pete Townshend will be making the rounds in support of his memoir, Who I Am, which will be published Monday. That night he'll put in an appearance at the New York Public Library on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. On Tuesday it's a book signing and question-and-answer session with Rolling Stone publisher Jann Wenner. Wednesday it's down the New Jersey Turnpike for a stop at the Philadelphia Free Library. Thursday it's up to Ridgewood, New Jersey for a signing at Bookends. And on Friday he'll be in Boston at the Berklee Performance Center. He'll also include several TV stops.

Pete Townshend Set For Boston Interview and Performance

Pete Townshend has announced an interview and performance for Friday, October 12th in Boston at the Berklee Performance Center. Tickets for the appearance will run $32.50 with a copy of Townshend's new memoir, Who I Am, being included in the price of admission. Earlier that day, Townshend will wrap his mini-signing tour at the Barnes & Noble store in Boston's Prudential Center.

Pete Townshend Addresses 2003 Child Pornography Scandal

Who Announce Opening Act; Doc Coming To VH1 [VIDEO]

The Who has announced that soul rockers Vintage Trouble will serve as the band's opening act for the first leg of their upcoming North American tour. Vintage Trouble has previously warmed crowds up for the likes of Bon Jovi, Lenny Kravitz, and Brian May, among others. The Who has also just announced the full musical lineup of their Quadrophenia & More tour, which kicks off on November 1st in Sunrise, Florida.
