January 16, 2013 The release date and title for Metallica's upcoming 3D feature film, which will combine a fictional narrative with footage of the band in concert, has been revealed. According to a press release, the movie will be titled Metallica Through The Never and will arrive on August 9th of this year

January 9, 2013 Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich has revealed in a new interview with Classic Rock magazine some more details about the band's upcoming 3D feature film, which will combine concert footage with a fictional storyline. Ulrich cited the 1976 Led Zeppelin movie, The Song Remains The Same, as a major influence.
