Guitar legend Jimi Hendrix is the subject of an upcoming "new and unreleased" archival release titled 'People, Hell & Angels,' which promises 12 new tracks from the innovative musician. Several tracks from the project have already leaked, and now fans can hear an exclusive stream of 'Hear My Train A-Comin'' from Rolling Stone, revealing an experimental direction the guitarist might have taken, had he lived.
The complete album won't be out until March 5, but if you're interested in getting a sneak preview at a cut from the new Jimi Hendrix compilation 'People, Hell & Angels,' you're in luck.

They had a number of area bands booked, but the scene-stealer was a 10-year old who busted out what we call the guitar players National Anthem: Jimi Hendrix' "Voodoo Chile".
On Dec. 27, 1967, Bob Dylan released his first album in over a year with the understated classic, 'John Wesley Harding.' Among the great songs found on that LP was a little tune called 'All Along The Watchtower.' Before the album's release, Jimi Hendrix obtained an acetate of the disc and fell in love with it. Less than two months after Dylan recorded it, Hendrix was in the studio recording his own take on the tune. On Jan. 21, 1968, Hendrix and the Experience settled in to record what would become the definitive reading of the song.

On March 5, mono vinyl versions of the first two Jimi Hendrix albums, 'Are You Experienced' and 'Axis: Bold as Love' will be released. The news was announced yesterday (Jan. 8) via press release.
Jimi Hendrix is one of the most exhaustively chronicled musicians in rock music history. Though he released just three studio albums in his lifetime, he has been the subject of a seemingly inexhaustible series of mostly-exploitative posthumous releases.
On March 5, Experience Hendrix hopes to rectify some of that with the release of 'People, Hell & Angels,' and now you can get your first listen to a track from that collection titled 'Somewhere.'
Jimi Hendrix’ 1969 vehicle registration clearly states, “If you no longer own this vehicle destroy this card.” Thankfully, someone failed to follow through with that instruction giving collectors an opportunity to bid on a vehicle registration originally addressed to the guitarist. This official government document baring Hendrix’ (typed) name sold for $2250.00 on eBay.
