Bruce Springsteen and Rush drummer Neil Peart have written essays for a new photo book about fans at concerts.

Diehards by photographer Erin Feinberg was shot over a decade at concerts by a wide range of artists and is billed as "an inside look at the energy and spirit that fuel every live show -- the fans."

Springsteen writes, "Every night at eight o' clock, it's those faces jammed up to the front of the stage, smiling, singing, living every note of your song, their song, taking every breath with you, or dancing in the rafters that continue to fuel your rock and roll passion."

Peart adds, "In a very real way, we, as performers, ought to bring everything we have to every show. It is also important to remember that people in the audience often bring everything they have, too."
