South Dakota National Guard Soldiers Back on US Soil
SIOUX FALLS - Fourteen South Dakota National Guard soldiers who served nine months overseas are back on U.S. soil.
The soldiers with the Sioux Falls-based 927th Engineer Detachment arrived at Fort Bliss in Texas on Monday night. They will return to South Dakota after going through the demobilization process, which takes about a week.
The soldiers helped with engineering projects in Kuwait and Afghanistan.
