An incident allegedly involving a seven-year-old girl has a Sioux Falls man facing a felony sexual contact charge.

Police officer Sam Clemens says the girl was going out to play on Sunday afternoon at an apartment building in the 3500 block of North Fourth Avenue when a man approached her in the hallway, pulled up her shirt and rubbed her chest.

Clemens says another child who was a witness told the little girl's mother, who saw the suspect outside when she went out to get her children back inside. He says the mother recognized the man from the other child's description.

The man drove away, but surveillance cameras in the hallway recorded the incident and when police got the man's vehicle description and license number, he was arrested at his home Tuesday night.

Clemens says 68-year-old Larry Duane Wallenstein was charged with one count of sexual contact with a child under 16. He says investigators believe there may be more victims, and they would like to hear from parents whose children may have had contact with the suspect.
