Sebastian Bach Plots ‘An Evening With’ 2016 Tour, Pushes Back Release of Autobiography
Sebastian Bach will be hitting the road for a special series of performances. Dubbed, 'An Evening With Sebastian Bach,' the former Skid Row singer will be paying tribute to his days in the band with two nightly sets, one acoustic and one electric. The tour will also surround Bach's long-awaited book, 18 and Life on Skid Row, which has been pushed back to a June 28th release.
"'An Evening with Sebastian Bach'? No, that doesn't mean we're going to end up in the back of a police car," jokes Bach, adding "It means that for selected shows on the upcoming tour, we want to do something brand new. Let's bring the music back to its purest form. We have been touring a lot in the last few years so it's time to do something different. You're going to get two sets for the price of one. We're going to open up the show with some stripped-down tunes, reset the stage, and then come back with the 'Big Guns.'"
The tour will kick off on April 27 in Jacksonville, Fla. and extend all the way through June 3, where it will come to a close in Salt Lake City, Utah. Bach will also be making festival appearances along the way, which are notated below. Tickets will be on sale Friday, March 4 at 10AM local time. VIP upgrades are on sale now and can be purchased here.
Originally slated for an April release, Bach's autobiography has been delayed until June 28, but for good reason! The singer explained that the publisher asked him for 30 photos to include in the book, but he handed them 150. "I am giving you my personal collection, photos, & documents none of you have ever seen," began Bach, continuing, "A lot of them. I look forward to the book release and the book tour following the book release. If I am going to go on a tour of book stores, I have to really be into the book. June 28 release date gives us an extra month to pay attention to detail. In a project of this scope there are many details." Fans can pre-order 18 and Life on Skid Row here.
Skid Row recently saw the departure of singer Tony Harnell, which led to Bach opening the floor to having discussions with his former bandmates about the possibility of reuniting. The attempt fell flat as the band debuted former Dragonforce singer ZP Theart at a recent show in Connecticut.
