Ronning Branch Library to Hold Seminar on How to Create Fairy Gardens

If you’d like to forget the blustery, winter weather you can start thinking spring by creating a fairy garden. This is a fun project to do by yourself or with your kids.

Cliff Avenue Greenhouse horticulturists will hold a seminar on this fun way to bring the green indoors at the Ronning Branch Library, 3100 East 49th Street, on Thursday, February 21, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. Register online at www.siouxlandlib.org or by calling 367-8140.

But if you want to get started on it this weekend, you can venture out on your own to choose the best fairies, fairy décor, pot and plants.

You’ll want to choose a container with a drainage hole, high-quality potting soil and plants that create a forest effect, like moss and ferns.
