Rolling Stones Greatest Guests
The folks at Gibson.com have compiled a list of what they believe are the 10 best guests to take the stage with The Rolling Stones throughout their career. Five of them are from their just completed 50 & Counting tour. In no particular order they are:
Axl Rose and Izzy Stradlin of Guns N' Roses on “Salt of the Earth” - 1989 in Atlantic City, New Jersey 1989. The Stones had to re-learn the song as they had never done it in concert outside of their Rock and Roll Circus TV show in 1968.
Dave Grohl on "Bitch" - 2013 in Anaheim, California
Jack White on “Loving Cup” - 2006 in New York for Martin Scorsese's Shine a Light film
John Mayer on “Champagne and Reefer” - 2013 in Anaheim
Muddy Waters on "Mannish Boy" - 1981 at Muddy's show at the Checkerboard Lounge in Chicago
Jeff Beck on "I'm going Down" - 2012 in London
Stevie Wonderon "Uptight (Everything’s Alright) / (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" - from their 1972 tour, which he opened
Buddy Guy on "Champagne and Reefer" - 2006 in New York for Shine a Light
Mary J. Blige on "Gimme Shelter" - 2012 in London and Newark, New Jersey
