The premature ending of a concert in Sioux Falls Saturday night sparked what police were calling a "near-riot."

Officer Sam Clemens says it came about when a woman was assaulted during the rap/hip-hop concert at the Ramkota Exhibit Hall by someone she didn't know. He says the woman's cousin thought he was being targeted as well, so he went to his car and got a .22-caliber assault-style rifle:

Clemens says what an officer on the scene called a "near-riot" involved several hundred people, but he says the venue was cleared in about 15 minutes.

Only two were arrested - a 20-year-old Sioux Falls man who was shooting video was charged with failure to vacate. The 19-year old Sioux City man who pulled out the gun was charged with having a concealed weapon without a permit and disorderly conduct.

Fans by the way, will not get a refund from concert promoters.
