Power Outages Reported in Large Portion of Sioux Falls

Power went out in a large portion of Sioux Falls at around 1:45pm.

Reports of the exact area that are out are sketchy. Xcel Energy's website says there are nine outages in southern Sioux Falls affecting 7,515 customers. Crews are working to fix the problem.

Xcel's estimates they will have power restored is to all affected areas between 5:30 and 6:30 tonight.

The map above does not show outlying areas from where the outages are reported.
