How far would you go to lose weight? Would you be willing to undergo a poop transplant?
Researchers have been studying the role of bacteria in the intestines in people with weight problems. It seems if you have the right kind of bacteria in there, you stay skinny – and if you have the wrong kind in there, you gain weight.
So, tests are being conducted right now with the hopes that good bacteria – or good poop – could be transplanted into the intestines of overweight people in order to kickstart their weight loss.
It sounds totally disgusting, but there are plenty of people who are totally desperate to drop weight.
I'm still thinking smaller portions, a little exercise and less fattening foods sounds better, but maybe that's just me. Would you go to these extremes to lose weight?
