As odd as it may seem, Sioux Falls Police Information Officer Sam Clemens says two furnaces have been stolen from a Sioux Falls home.

"There was forced entry in this house. The owner had noticed in the past couple of days that somebody had taken two furnaces from the basement. Some of the pipes were reportedly cut by a saw. Really that's about all the information we have. Right now there are no suspects. I'm not sure how the furnaces were removed or if they were actually hooked up. Kind of a lot of questions at this point in time. But, we know there were two furnaces in the house and now they are missing."

Clemens says he doesn't recall an instance when a furnace was taken in Sioux Falls.

"We have had other appliances that were taken. Most of the time those are at new construction sites where they weren't hooked up. I don't remember when we responded to the theft of a furnace...let alone two furnaces."

Clemens isn't sure if the house was occupied at the time of the incident.
