Police Briefing: End Of Standoff [VIDEO]

Sioux Falls Police Information Officer says a standoff came to an end this morning in a house in the 1700 block of East 3rd Street.  A third party called authorities and indicated there was a man in the home with a gun.

The swat team and negotiators were called in around 2:30 a.m.  Clemens says the suspect had on again and off again contact with the negotiators.  Things escalated around 9 this morning.  The swat team shot pepper spray into the home.  Eventually, the suspect came out around 9:15 a. m.

Clemens says the suspect had a gun that was seen numerous times by the swat team.

Clemens says criminal charges will likely be filed against the suspect.
