The Pineapple Express. I heard it was about to rear it's ugly head again along with western seaboard of the United States.

On one hand, I know California has been dry. Real dry. However, this storm is rumored to be packing a punch. According to USA Today:

The National Weather Service said the barrage is "expected to be one of the strongest storms in terms of wind and rain" since storms in October 2009 and January 2008.

Then they started talking about The Pineapple Express.

A system fueled by the "Pineapple Express" is delivering a steady stream of moisture directly from Hawaii to the West Coast starting Wednesday. Meteorologists describe the Pineapple Express as a long, narrow plume that pipes moisture from the tropics into the western United States.

I have to admit, when I first saw the story I giggled a little bit. Sometimes movies come with interesting names. Maybe you've seen this one. Then again, maybe you haven't.

Either way, serious or fun, it's gonna affect our friends to the west. Then, probably all the rest of us here in the Midwest. Here's hoping that it doesn't mess up holiday travel plans. Dude.
