Davina Sowers of Davina & The Vagabonds hit the Midwest out of Florida in 2005 and she hasn't looked back. With great vocals and killer piano work, she commands attention on stage and leaves everyone smiling.

She and her band made a big splash at Duluth, Minnesota's Bayfront Blues Festival from 2006-2008, outselling all other artists merchandise all three years. Davina and the Vagabonds made their Sioux Falls debut at JazzFest in 2010 and left the crowd shaking their hips and smiling all evening long with the bands New Orleans flavored music with dueling horn section and standup bass.

Davina and the Vagabonds are always a draw, no matter where they travel (as evidenced by their European jaunt last weekend!) and sold out Old Skoolz in advance on a weeknight this summer when they dropped in. On that trip, Davina told Old Skoolz owner Lance King that she wanted to come back on a weekend and 'burn the stage down'. Wish granted this Saturday night as Davina comes back to do just that!

Tickets are available for just $13 in advance at Old Skoolz at 921 E. 8th Street (8th & Indiana) during normal business hours. You can also call 605.338.9491. This show will sell out in advance, so don't wait to get your tickets to see the fabulous Davina & The Vagabonds in a very intimate setting.

Here's a song that Davina was nominated for at the International Songwriters Competition in 2009.
