The Patriot Tour - a nationwide effort honoring past, present, and fallen military personnel while raising funds for families of wounded soldiers - will be stopping in Sioux Falls Wednesday.

The tour revolves around one American Flag.  The Flag left Wisconsin back on May 25th and will eventually travel some 14-thousand miles through all 48 contiguous states.  Along the way, nearly 100-thousand motorcyclists will take part in the transporting of the Flag.

The goal of the organization is to also raise $100-thousand along the way to help families of wounded soldiers.

Sioux Falls Rolling Thunder, Patriot Guard Riders, and Legion Riders will receive the Flag from the Patriot Guard Riders out of Norfolk, Nebraska at an official ceremony to be held at Veterans Memorial Park located on West Bailey Street in Sioux Falls.  The ceremony is set to begin at 3:30 pm.

Following the event, J&L Harley Davidson invites all veterans and community members to stop up at their dealership to take a close-up look at the Flag.

On Thursday afternoon, the Flag will then be transferred to Watertown, and from there on to North Dakota; ultimately arriving back in Wisconsin on August 29th - resting where it all began on Memorial Day weekend.
