Some drivers on Interstate 229 in Sioux Falls are going to have to adjust their daily commutes for a few days.

The South Dakota Department of Transportation has announced plans to temporarily close the I-229 off-ramp at the Cliff Avenue exit (Exit 4).

The closure goes into effect Tuesday, August 8 at 9:00 AM and is expected to last until Monday, August 14.

The closure will allow crews to repair the concrete surfacing at the exit ramp that was damaged by recent excessive heat

This construction work is part of a nearly $1 million project to repair various concrete pavements in the Sioux Falls area. The prime contractor is Dakota Contracting Corporation.
