I love hanging out in downtown Sioux Falls and now there is going to be yet another downtown dining option.

The founder of Bagel Boy is opening a café in downtown Sioux Falls. Chris Pappas founded Bagel Boy in 1994 and has since sold the business.

Chris and Jessica Pappas are planing to open Pappy's in The Plaza in the former CNA Surety building at 9th Street and Phillips Avenue.

"It's a coffee shop, but we want it to be more than that," Jessica Pappas said. "A place where you can build relationships, tying in with the bank and the downtown area."

A menu is still being developed but will include breakfast and lunch items such as yogurt, breakfast paninis, sandwiches and salads.

"We'll change it out. It won't be a set menu," Pappas said. "Everything will be fresh and quality, not prepackaged and frozen."

The downtown location will include outdoor seating.
