Neil Young has always liked taking the show on the road, but on THIS tour, he's not promoting a new record. He's promoting ethanol, and that tour made a stop in Sioux Falls Friday (April 12) to fuel up.

Young is on a road trip across America in his 1959 Lincoln Continental, which has been converted to burn ethanol. Young calls it a LincVolt and he's blogging the trip and more on his website.

A film crew is following Young on his travels making a documentary about why a hall of fame rock n roller is taking on big oil and a cause for the environment. He stopped at POET here in Sioux Falls to re-fuel and talk for a couple minutes saying that the planet needs a publicist so it can be a big star and everyone will pay attention to it.

Looks like Young is stepping into that role.
