Minnesota Wild Thank Their Season Ticket Holder By Letting Them Paint The Ice
The Minnesota Wild saw their season come to a end in the semi-finals of the Stanley Cup Playoffs as they lost to the Chicago Blackhawks in six games.
Although the season came to a end in regards to the season itself, it wasn't the end for the fans though.
The Minnesota Wild did something really neat for their season ticket holders by allowing them to come to the Xcel Energy Center where the Wild call home, and paint the ice with special messages and phrases.
In a sport that can use all the publicity possible, this is a great gesture from the Wild, but needs to be re-created in NHL cities across the league. More involvement from the fans can only help spread the popularity of a very fun sport to watch and be a part of.
Here are some others photos from the ice as well.
