Tuesday's night number-one on David Letterman's Top 10 List, read by Mick Jagger, is pretty much the same as what Moody Blues drummer Graeme Edge has been saying for years.

Jagger joked that the number-one thing that "Mick Jagger learned after 50 years in rock ‘n’ roll” was, "You start out playing rock ‘n’ roll so you can have sex and do drugs. But you end up doing drugs so you can still play rock ‘n’ roll and have sex.” Edge has been saying almost exactly that on stage for years. Before launching into "Higher and Higher," he tells the audience, "When we started out, my hair was brown, my teeth were white and [holding his fingers in the iconic V] this meant peace. Now, my hair is white, my teeth are brown and this means Viagra. But it’s still rock and roll."
