Memorial Fund Established For Hero Killed in Weekend Accident
Angel Stevens and her husband Carl were at the Salvation Army car show Sunday talking to a teenager about Angel's Harley Davidson motorcycle when a van driven by Lois Two Bulls sped through a parking lot towards the trio. According to witnesses, Angel pushed the boy out of the way which lessened his injuries and saved his life. Angel however was pinned against a tree by the van and passed away in her husband's arms.
Two funds have been established to help the Stevens family. An online account has been set up at GoFundMe. There also has been a memorial account established at all First Premier banks here in Sioux Falls, donations can be made to the "Angel Stevens Benefit Account".
Because the driver of the van didn't have insurance, the Stevens family will have to cover all medical/funeral expenses out of pocket, so friends are trying very hard to alleviate the costs as much as they can.
