For the 19th year, the Children's Care Auxiliary will lead us as we Walk and Roll for Kids at the Empire Mall, raising money for therapies, education, medical care and other needs of youngsters from birth to age 21.  We've stretched our goal a little each year, and each year our total has increased, setting a new record.  Last year, the event raised $97,600---the goal this year is to raise $100,000!

Before the event, individuals and teams register to walk and then collect donations from their friends and family either in person, on the phone, through the mail, and now, online!  Walkers and teams can earn prizes based on the amount they raise. All prizes are donated by our generous sponsors, so all dollars raised by walkers can go directly to our kids!

The walk is held in the comfort of the Empire Mall. Each lap equals 1.2 miles; 3 laps equal 3.6 miles; and 5 laps equal 6 miles. So come out for a casual walk or make it a challenging workout. The day itself is a blast, with appearances by children's performer Phil Baker, clowns, cheerleaders, and mascots.

Pre-registration is Thursday, January 31st from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Friday, February 1st from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Children's Care Hospital & School, 2501 W. 26th Street, Sioux Falls. Turn in all your money and receive your t-shirts early to avoid the rush Saturday morning.  If you prefer to turn in your money Saturday morning, enter at the food court entrance for registration, which opens at 8 a.m. The walk gets started at 9:30 with prizes awarded at 11:00.
