Bon Homme County will host their annual Achievement Days Event on August 3rd and 4th. August 3rd will kick off the event. 4-H member's will enter static exhibits to be judged Friday morning. We also have an open class event for members of the public. The public is welcome to enter any arts and crafts, sewing, photography, canning goods, etc. Contact the Bon Homme County Extension Office for further information. The goat and sheep show will begin at 3 pm and the dairy and beef show begins at 7 pm. Jeff Rueb will have exotic animals from the Masters Coral at the 4-H grounds from 5-7 and the Chamber will host their annual BBQ from 5:30-7 at the Tyndall Park with music by Vern Kaul. Tickets are available for $8 from any Bon Homme County 4-H member or contact the Bon Homme County Extension Office. Meal includes 1/2 BBQ chicken, baked beans, potato salad, bun, lemonade and ice cream cup. Saturday, August 4th with start with the swine show at 8 am, followed by the cat, rabbit and poultry shows. The 4-H Jr Leaders will host a dodgeball tournament at 2 pm. Cost for the event is $30, 5 players per team, must be 10 and up, limit of 12 teams. 1st place prize is $150, 2nd place prize is $100 and 3rd place prize is $50. Please contact the Bon Homme County Extension Office at 589-3531 for sign up information. The finale of the event will be Senior and Junior Round Robin. Each Senior and Junior that won Showmanship has the chance to show each specie and win top overall showman for all species. Come join the events and help support the local 4-H program!
