Eddie Van Halen Checking In

Eddie Van Halen has posted a note on the Van Halen website thanking his fans for their well wishes following his recent surgery for diverticulitis. He writes, "Thank you for the overwhelming support and all of your cool comments! Hanging out, taking it easy and feeling better every day. Can’t wait to see you all in 2013!" Because of the surgery, Van Halen canceled a tour of Japan next month.

Diverticulitis occurs when a small pouch off an organ such as the large intestine becomes inflamed.
