Carrie Ann’s Boutique Opens in Harrisburg
Harrisburg is one of those communities that is constantly growing, and this past weekend on my usual drive through town I noticed another business had opened: Carrie Ann’s Boutique.
I stopped in and met the owner, and asked her about the latest addition to the ‘Burg”.
Has opening a boutique been a dream of yours?
I have wanted to open a boutique for many years! I come from a family of hardworking business owners and always knew I wanted to have my own business as well.
What items are featured in the boutique?
We feature clothing that can be worn to the office during the day or to church on Sunday, and can also be transitioned to evening activities with the kids. We do have fun outfits that are great for girls night out or date night as well.
What kind of style / person does boutique appeal to?
I really feel the people that love our boutique the most are women that are on the go and need items that are functional but still make them feel good about what they are wearing. We have styles that work for women that are in their early 20’s all the way up to late 50’s and beyond, we see that these women are busy with their careers or families. Being a mom I understand how busy life can be, I need pieces of clothing that can be worn to the office and to church on Sunday but can also transition into activities with the kids in the evening. We carry items from Small up to 3x and we also like to keep our items at affordable price points.
What would you like people to know about your store?
We are a local, family owned and operated business. Our customers satisfaction is our top priority and we want everyone to have a fun shopping experience.
When did your boutique officially open?
We officially opened May 1st, 2017
What days and hours are you open?
- Monday – 10am to 6pm
- Tuesday – 10am to 6pm
- Wednesday – 10am to 6pm
- Thursday – 10am to 8pm
- Friday – 10am to 6pm

What’s the address of boutique?
300 Industrial Rd, Harrisburg, SD 57032
We are located inside of the Perfect Practice Sports Academy building. This is where they are also working to construct the large trampoline park that will be opening mid-summer 2017.
Why did you choose Harrisburg to open your shop?
My husband grew up in Harrisburg and we have called Harrisburg home since 2005. Our children go to school here, our church is here, and our friends are here. We are so excited to see Harrisburg’s continued growth and now we get to be a part of that. When we were looking at potential locations for the boutique my mind was set on being in Harrisburg. We have always felt strongly about supporting small businesses within our community and try to utilize the services that are here in town. Since opening we have received a lot of support from other local business owners and also from the residents of Harrisburg. I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else!
