Bryan Adams has announced his first U.S. dates of the New Year. Adams, who has no less that six Texas dates on the books for next month, kicks off his 2013 shows on January 20th in Atlanta, Georgia and winds things down on January 26th in Washington, D.C.

Nearly 30 years since scoring his first Top 10 U.S. hit with "Straight From The Heart," Adams has been a fixture on the rock scene for well over a generation. When we last caught up with him we asked him about the moment when he realized he had finally made it: "Basically back in about 1984 -- must've been '85, we released Reckless and we were doing our first headlining tour of America. And I walked over to Keith Scott, my guitarist, and I said, 'What's different? Y'know, we're doing the same songs.' Basically what it was, was it was our time, and things were just starting to come together. And people started playing the music and they're still playing the music. So, it's really nice."
