As Crosby, Stills, & Nash prep for another year on the road, they all agree that 2012 was one of the highlights of their career. Stephen Stills told American Songwriter, "It was the best tour I had in years. In years and years. Nobody was vibing anyone out of the room. We're comfortable in our skins. . . and we seem to have rounded a corner with being patient and forgiving."

David Crosby agrees with Stills, saying: "This has been one of our best years. I couldn't be happier about it. Normally a band doesn't have a long lifetime, and we've had an exceptionally long one. We were expecting to fade out but this year it's taken about a 10 percent upswing. Every place we play, big places, Red Rocks -- we sold it out, every last seat. That's really encouraging."

Graham Nash, who has always found himself to be the intermediary between his partners, says things are good between the musicians these days and chalks it up to the extra effort Stills is now bringing to live show: "He's singing in tune better, he's playing his guitar better. Crosby is not looking at him on the side of the stage giving him stink eye because he played the wrong note, or sang a wrong note, or whatever the reason. And those two are getting on much better than they ever did."
