Yes’ Rock N Roll Fantasy Camp Set For Vegas

Yes will head up the next Rock N' Roll Fantasy Camp set for July 14th through 17th at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Hotel and Casino. In addition to receiving instructions from the band -- Steve Howe, Chris Squire, Alan White, Geoff Downes, and Jon Davison -- the campers will be able to hang out and participate in jam sessions. Among the counselors at the "Yes Camp" will be longtime Joe Walsh and Crosby, Stills, & Nash sideman Joe Vitale, Mike Pinera from Iron Butterfly, and Gary Hoey and Kane Roberts from Alice Cooper's band.

Legendary rock promoter and creator of the Rock N' Roll Fantasy Camp, David Fishof, has just published his new book, titled Rock Your Business, What You And Your Company Can Learn From The Business Of Rock And Roll. The book features some incredible stories on the road with Ringo Starr, Nils Lofgren, Joe Walsh, the Monkees -- and many more, and has recently hit the Number One spot on Kindle Business sales. Fishof explained how he's able to secure some of the most legendary musicians to sign on as instructors at the Fantasy Camps: "It's like the way I got Roger Daltrey to do Rock N' Roll Fantasy Camp was, I said to him, 'Who's your idol? Who do you wanna play with?' And he said, 'I'll do your camp if you can introduce me to Levon Helm.' And he said, 'Don't worry -- whatever you're gonna pay me, give it to him. I wanna meet Levon Helm' and 'He was my idol.' So, that's how I got Roger Daltrey to Fantasy Camp. Y'know, I know that Jeff Beck loved Brian Wilson. So, when I told Jeff -- he said, 'Who else is gonna be at the camp?' I said, 'Brian Wilson,' he said, 'Count me in.' So, everybody has an idol. And I think how I've been able to attract a lot of these rockers."
