The Super Bowl XLVII is less than a week away and the last 46 Super Bowls have provided plenty of drama. Let's take a look back at some of the most memorable Super Bowls over the last 46 years.

Super Bowl I and II were won by the Green Bay Packers, as they defeated the Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders. Bart Starr was the first Super Bowl MVP and won the second MVP, as well. Vince Lombardi coached the Packers to their Super Bowl titles and has his name engraved on one of sports most hallowed trophies.

Super Bowl III featured New York Jets quarterback Joe Namath guaranteeing a victory over the 13-1 Baltimore Colts, and "Broadway Joe," came through with his promise when the Jets defeated the Colts, 16 to 7.

The Dallas Cowboys won their first of five Super Bowls starting with Super Bowl VI, when they defeated the Miami Dolphins, 24 to 3 led by quarterback Roger Staubach. The Cowboys rushed for a record 252 yards and their defense limited the Dolphins to 185 yards.

In 1973, the Miami Dolphins capped off the NFL's only perfect season by defeating the Washington Redskins, 14 to 7. Dolphins Jake Scott was the MVP. Scott had two interceptions.

In Super Bowl X, the Pittsburgh Steelers won their first of six Super Bowls by beating the Dallas Cowboys, 21 to 17. Lynn Swann stole the show when he made his famous "Immaculate Reception," and was named MVP by setting a Super Bowl record by gaining 161 yards on four receptions.

Super Bowl XIII featured another classic Super Bowl between the Steelers and Cowboys, and the Steelers won 35 to 31 behind Terry Bradshaw's record four touchdowns and 318 yards. Bradshaw was the MVP in the game. This was the Steelers third Super Bowl win.

Less than a week away when the San Francisco 49ers will try to win their sixth Super Bowl, the 49ers beat the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl XVI, 26 to 21 for their first title. Joe Montana was the game's MVP and Cincinnati had more yards than the 49ers despite losing.

In Super Bowl XXII, the Washington Redskins defeated the Denver Broncos 42 to 10 and Doug Williams became the first African-American quarterback to win the Super Bowl. Williams passed for four touchdowns on the game's biggest stage. Colin Kaepernick could become the second African-American quarterback to win the Super Bowl this week.

The New York Giants won their second Super Bowl in five years in 1991, defeating the Buffalo Bills, 20 to 19 in Super Bowl XXV. The Giants had the ball for a Super Bowl record 40 minutes and 33 seconds. The infamous missed kick that sailed wide right by Scott Norwood spoiled the game for the Bills.

In Super Bowl XXXI, Brett Favre won his first Super Bowl for the Green Bay Packers, defeating the New England Patriots, 35 to 21. Desmond Howard was the MVP, and had a Super Bowl record of 244 total return yards and a kickoff for a score for 99 yards.

In Super Bowl XXXII, and XXXIII, the Denver Broncos won back to back Super Bowls, defeating the Packers and Falcons. Super Bowl XXXII featured the famous call, "this one is for John," and Terrell Davis was the MVP. In the year after, John Elway was the MVP for the Broncos.

In Super Bowl XXXIV, the St Louis Rams, known as the "Greatest Show on Turf," won the Super Bowl when Kevin Jones kept the Titans out of the endzone by tackling the Titans Kevin Dyson at the one yard line. Kurt Warner was the MVP, and passed for a Super Bowl record 414 yards.

The New England Patriots captured their first of three Super Bowls in 2002 in Super Bowl XXXVI and ended the "Greatest Show on Turf," by defeating the St. Louis Rams, 20 to 17 on Adam Vinateri's game-winning 48 yard field goal. The Patriots won Super Bowl XXXVIII and XXXIX.

The New York Giants won their first of two Super Bowls against the Patriots in Super Bowl XLII when wide receiver David Tyree made a fantastic helmet catch and Eli Manning threw a game-winning touchdown to Plaxico Burress with 35 seconds left. In Super Bowl XLVI, Giants wide receiver had more heroics, making a acrobatic sideline catch, and Manning led a 88 yard drive to win the game for the Giants.

In Super Bowl XLIII, the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Arizona Cardinals, 27 to 23 in one of the most underrated Super Bowls. Steelers wide receiver Santanio Holmes, and Super Bowl MVP, scored the go-ahead touchdown with 2:02 to play. Holmes just got his toes down in the endzone to put the Steelers ahead. Kurt Warner had another great Super Bowl, but in ended in a losing effort. Warner passed for 377 yard and three touchdowns.

There's no doubt that Super Bowl XLVII will be exciting and it has plenty of story lines to add for an intriguing game.
