Sioux Falls hosted No.9 Minnesota State Thursday in their season and home opener resulting in a 26-54 loss.

The Vikings open the 101st season of football on Sept. 2 hosting the University of Mary Marauders.

Reisdorfer helped lead the Cougars to an 8-3 season while hitting numerous records himself. Reisdorfer recorded eight 100-yard games this season and 19 throughout his career with USF.

The Coo came away with a 31-24 win where NSIC sack leader Zach Durfee added three more against the Vikings earning him NSIC Defensive Player of the Week honors.

The Cougars went 8-3 in 2021 with a key win against cross-town NSIC rival Augustana University.

From basketball to hockey, football to fishing, Sioux Falls has lots of fun sports events throughout the weekend.

Two games remain in the NSIC schedule and, the Cougars and Vikings are both on the road this Saturday.

The Vikings will play the 49th annual Shrine Football game this Saturday against Winona State.

No. 22 Viking Football travels to Mankato, and the Coo will defend their 3-game win streak at home this weekend.
