Doors Week continues on the B Rock Notes. It was 46 years ago this week (July 3rd, 1971) that Jim Morrison was found dead in a bathtub in Paris, France.
Formerly estranged Doors bandmates John Densmore and Robby Krieger will join forces next month to pay tribute to the band's late co-founders, Jim Morrison and Ray Manzarek.
A couple months ago, John Densmore hinted that he and his former Doors bandmate Robby Krieger had buried the hatchet after a long feud and were even considering doing a tribute show for Doors keyboardist Ray Manzarek, who died of cancer in May. Seems it wasn't just idle chitchat: Krieger now says that tribute concert could happen early next year.
The world lost a true star when Doors keyboardist Ray Manzarek succumbed to bile duct cancer on May 20. The band is celebrating his legacy with a fundraising effort designed to help others suffering from the disease.
