There are a lot of great things about Iowa. From the friendly folks to the small towns and everything in between, there is a lot to love about the Hawkeye state.

The Key to the City game brought its fair share of storylines this past week across the region and the NSIC conference. Following the win for USF over Augustana, both teams have moved substantially in the newest rankings from the AFCA.

The South Dakota State Jackrabbit football program has been as solid as they come this season at the FCS level. After a close season-opening defeat on the road at Iowa, the Jacks enter their rivalry matchup with USD at 4-1 overall.

The Sioux Falls Washington Warrior Volleyball program has hung around the top 5 of their respective class rankings all season, and after a strong week, they've now claimed the top spot.

The South Dakota Coyote Football program earned their first win of the season on Saturday, and the polls have taken notice.

Both the USF Cougars and Augustana Vikings continue to pile up wins in the early portion the season, as both programs enter Week 4 with perfect 3-0 records.

No matter which way you slice it, South Dakota continues to be a great place to call home. However, there are always areas in which our cities, towns, and wild places can be improved upon.

Picking up the wins you are supposed to early on in the regular season goes a long way for a team as far as reaching their goals down the road.
