You never know who you might meet. Where they've been. What they've been through. The other day I met Connie Johnson from rural Brandt, South Dakota.

I contacted my buddy Justin, and asked him to put together a list of ways we can honor, and respect the Purple Heart recipients and their families.

Governor Dennis Daugaard has proclaimed Sunday August 7, 2017 as Purple Heart Recognition Day across South Dakota.

The city of Luverne has become the first in Minnesota to be designated a Purple Heart City.
