When fall hits the calendar, the first thing I think of is pheasant hunting season. And how Winner South Dakota's population would explode.

South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks have announced its plan to reopen offices and recreational facilities, including the Outdoor Campus.

I don't know why this always happens but it did again. Surprise! Deer applications are open!

A new deadline was announced on Saturday. Anglers will have until March 10, 2019 to get their fish houses moved.

Normally February 28 is the deadline to remove fish houses from lakes in South Dakota. It's a sound policy since it is entirely possible to hit the 40's and 50's by March 1. This year that seems a little hasty.

Blaze orange is sweeping across the South Dakota this weekend for the 100th pheasant hunting season.

Today the South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Commission unanimously passed the change to the deer draw system that forces applicants to choose one season to apply for in the first draw.

If you missed on your East River deer tag and are bummed about it and really want to hunt, there are thousands of tags you could apply for.
