Almost 30% of adults in the U.S. Are not getting enough sleep. If you are not getting the recommended amount of sleep you could be putting yourself more at risk for diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, or obesity.

A new study from the Center of Disease Control shows us which states of the United States are getting the most sleep. The numbers next to each state represent the percentages of people in that state that are getting the recommended amount of nightly sleep.

  1. South Dakota 71.6%

  3. Minnesota 70.8%
  4. Nebraska 69.6%

  7. Montana 69.3%
  8. Kansas 69.1%
  9. Iowa 69.0%
  10. Vermont 69.0%
