Building drama exploded at the state high school dance competition at the Target Center in Minneapolis. When the Faribault Emerald dance team won first place in the State High-Kick Dance Championship several teams protested the win at the awards ceremony because they believe that Faribault's winning routine was copied from a team in Utah. By protesting the win, the second and third place teams gave up their trophies.

You can see the dances and hear from some of the participants in this report from WCCO-TV.
