Robert Plant will be putting on his spikes as he will take to the soccer pitch for his favorite team, the Wolverhampton Wanderers.

He'll be playing in an exhibition game in honor of defender Jody Craddock, who retired last year. Plant is the team's vice president and he won the opportunity to participate in the game by bidding $1450 at a dinner to raise money for the Birmingham Children's Hospital, where Craddock's son is being treated for leukemia. The game, to take place next year, will also raise money Craddock's son.

Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones is on tour in America, but not as a headliner. He's supporting guitarist Dave Rawlings on his Machine Tour. The tour of the Southeast started Wednesday in Knoxville, Tennessee, hits in Atlanta tonight (Thursday) and runs through Wednesday in Birmingham, Alabama.
