It'd been nine years since the two teams last met, but the rivalry is still as hot as ever as the South Dakota State Jackrabbits thumped the University of South Dakota Coyotes 31-8 Saturday afternoon at Coughlin-Alumni Stadium in Brookings.

The Jacks went up 21-0 in the first 13 minutes and never looked back as sophomore running back Zach Zanner ran for 164 yards and a score to lead SDSU to the win.

SDSU finishes the season at 8-3 overall and 6-2 in the conference in front of over 15,000 fans. USD finishes at a disappointing 1-10 on the year, including an 0-8 mark in their first season in the Missouri Valley Football Conference.
