Macy’s is Closing Even More Stores in 2024 Than We Thought
Macy's announced early this year that they planned to close multiple locations across the US by the end of 2024. At the time, that number was 50 stores. We also didn't know if any of those locations closing would be in Minnesota.
I just recently learned that Macy's now plans to close even more stores than we originally thought by the end of 2024.

Macy's Plans to Close Over 100 Stores
Back in February of 2024, Macy's made their announcement that they'll be closing a total of 150 stores over the next few years. 50 of those they planned to close before the end of 2024, the other 100 would close over the following few years.
They aren't increasing the total number of stores closing over the next few years, they just increased how many will be closing in 2024. The announcement was made in an earnings call at the end of August.
