Earlier this summer, the show 'Antiques Roadshow' made a stop in Iowa to film a couple of episodes. Now, another popular show will be returning to the state to film!

A recent article from the Iowa City Press-Citizen reports that 'American Pickers' is set to do some antique-hunting in Iowa in September of 2024. If you're not familiar with the History Channel series, the official website reads:

"The show follows the team as they scour the country for hidden gems in junkyards, basements, garages and barns, meeting quirky characters and hearing their amazing stories. If you think the antique business is all about upscale boutiques and buttoned-up dealers, this show may change your mind – and teach you a thing or two about American history along the way."

One of the coolest things about 'American Pickers' is that their "hub" is right here in Eastern Iowa! Antique Archaeology is a two-story shop located in Le Claire that offers "vintage treasures, collectibles, and unique home decor handpicked by Mike Wolfe," as well as custom merchandise. It's open to the public Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can also look through some of their items and shop on the website HERE. There is an additional store location in Nashville.

If you are an antique collector and you think you have something interesting to show 'American Pickers,' be sure to contact the show for a chance to be featured! The Iowa City Press-Citizen says that you can call 646-493-2184, or email americanpickers@cineflix.com with your name, phone number, location, and a description of the collection (with photos).
