This South Dakota City Is 4th Happiest In America
Ask any business owner about the importance of location and you'll get an earful. Location also can have a lot to do with your overall happiness. Researchers who've studied the subject have found that happiness is so much more than just the amount of money you make.
You may find this hard to believe, but studies have been done which have concluded that after people reach a $75,000 salary level, you won't derive more happiness from a higher salary. You kind of wonder who they were talking to. But I digress.
To come up with the happiest cities in the U.S., Wallet Hub looked at 182 of the largest cities in the country and compared and contrasted them in three major categories: A) Emotional & Physical Well Being, B) Income & Employment, and C) Community & Environment.
Within those categories they considered 29 key happiness indicators, like depression rates, food insecurity, income growth rates, unemployment rates, commute times, weather, average leisure time, and much more.
After all the number-crunching was done, it turns out that Sioux Falls is a very happy city! Sioux Falls came in 4th out of all those 182 cities.
