Heartland Country Corn Maze Opens for 2025 Season
It's one of those fall traditions that let you know summer is coming to an end. It's the opening of the Heartland Country Corn Maze south of Sioux Falls!
There’s something special about stepping into a corn maze on a crisp autumn day. The corn stalks tower above, swaying gently as you make your way through winding paths and puzzling dead ends.

For many families, couples, and groups of friends, tackling a corn maze is a fall tradition that mixes challenge, laughter, and a little bit of adventure.
Creating a maze is no small feat either. Farmers spend months planning designs, planting rows with precision, and cutting intricate patterns—sometimes using GPS technology to craft works of art that can only be seen from above.
What’s New in 2025: The Jackrabbit Design
Each year brings something new to discover, and this year's 11-acre corn maze is in the design of a jackrabbit. You'll also find concessions, a shade tent with seating for 40, and restrooms.
You can add extra twists by doing a nighttime flashlight maze or the spooky haunted maze at Halloween time. Beyond the fun, corn mazes often support local farms and bring the community together.
Tips for Your Visit
When you arrive at the maze, you'll get a map and a list of questions. Find your way to 10 checkpoints, which contain the answers. Find the Hidden Checkpoint and get a free treat at the Concession Barn.
So grab your friends, lace up your walking shoes, and prepare to get a little lost. In a corn maze, the journey is just as rewarding as finding the exit.
