Although the burros are not native to the Black Hills, they enjoy seeing the visitors at Custer State Park. At one point, burros did haul visitors to the top of Black Elk Peak. The rides are discontinued and the burros now roam the park.

Now visitors of Custer State Park are in for an extra special surprise the next time they see the friendly burros. Park officials at Custer State Park confirmed in a Facebook post that a THIRD baby burro was born!

Custer State Park officials say this little cutie is a late bloomer and was born just a few days ago.

This is truly exciting news from Custer State Park! It's not every season baby burros are born, especially three in one season! This is a very welcomed surprise. South Dakota residents and Custer State Park visitors are equally thrilled. Some visitors have ideas for names for the new baby burro.

Oh my gosh!!!! I love Custer so much.

They should name him Rally, since it was born during the rally!

Can’t wait to see the new baby and feed it.

The burros are a joy any time of year.

Congratulations to everyone at Custer State Park!
