Free Hot Meals Are Coming To Central South Dakota Families
A fresh hot meal can be a lifesaver for those in need, especially during the holiday season. And for those living in Central South Dakota, delicious warm meals were made available for the first time today thanks to a local partnership.
For the next three weeks, Team Buche Cares is partnering with Rethink Food and Al's Oasis to deliver free warm meals to residents in Lower Brule and Fort Thompson, South Dakota.

Deliveries began today in Lower Brule and will be available for the next two Mondays (Nov. 24th & Dec. 1st). Deliveries will be made to the Golden Buffalo Convention Center (307 Crazy Horse St.) at 11:30 am.
In Fort Thompson, deliveries will be made to the Crow Creek Tribal Admin Building (100 Drifting Goose Dr.) for the next three Wednesdays (Nov. 19th, Nov. 26th, & Dec. 3rd).
All meals will be distributed on a first come, first served basis while supplies last and attendees will be asked to complete a short form before receiving the meals.
"Team Buche Cares is committed to serving families in rural and tribal communities", said RF Buche, founder of Team Buche Cares and CEO and President of the GF Buche Company, owner of Al's Oasis. "By partnering with Rethink Food and Al's Oasis, we are able to bring warm, nourishing meals directly to families where they are needed most. This common sense initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to food security while continuing to support our local South Dakota communities."
"We are excited to extend our reach into South Dakota and collaborate with Team Buche Cares", said Ken Baker, Culinary Director Rethink Food. "Our goal has always been to connect excess food with local communities in ways that are culturally appropriate, meaningful and sustainable."
