Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth is starring in a newly-released Japanese short film that he also wrote. According to HenneMusic, the film follows Roth's character as he takes on a gang of Japanese thugs in a card game, with the thugs thinking that Roth can't speak English and can be taken advantage of.

Roth became a resident of Tokyo, Japan in May of 2012, but also continues to maintain homes in New York City and Pasadena, California.

Van Halen will play four concerts in Japan in June. The dates are rescheduled from last fall when the group was forced on hiatus following Eddie's surgery for an extreme case of diverticulitis.
