Roger Daltrey will be among the performers on September 5th at One Mayfair in London in support of the Mercury Phoenix Trust. The concert, which falls on what would've been Freddie Mercury's 67th birthday, will feature an assortment of guests -- including the Spice Girls' Melanie C -- raising money for AIDS related causes. The house band for the evening will once again be fronted by Queen's regular musical director and keyboard player Spike Edney and his All Star band. There's been no official announcement as to whether Queen's Brian May and Roger Taylor will be performing as well, but insider word is that it is expected.

Roger Daltrey spoke about Freddie Mercury in the show's press release, saying, "Freddie was a unique talent. . . A one off!"
