The Lake County Sheriff's Office says that on Friday (February 3) they received an emergency call from a resident who reported seeing a vehicle that had fallen through the ice on Brandt Lake.

Deputies located a small vehicle partially submerged in the icy water:

Thankfully nobody was in the vehicle, but this is a good reminder with the weather unpredictable and warm lately, vehicles probably shouldn't be driven on the lakes.

The Lake County Sheriff's Office is also advising residents to check their ice shacks as several appeared to be close to sinking.
