ZZ Top's Tonnage Tour will keep on rolling into June, thanks to a spate of freshly announced dates picking up after the band's existing 2017 concert engagements.

The Tonnage tour's first leg, announced last fall, started Feb. 19 and runs through mid-March; the new dates, which begin in Amarillo on May 12, conclude June 10 with another Texas stop in Frisco. There are eight Texas shows in all -- which, as the press release announcing the extra Tonnage dates points out, is purely intentional.

"The run is Tex-centric, just like ourselves, and the band is looking forward to getting our heads in Mississippi, and points beyond," said singer and guitarist Billy Gibbons. "After four decades, we believe we're beginning to get the hang of it, so a mighty good time will be enjoyed by all."

Following their U.S. obligations, the band is booked for a summer European run that's scheduled to keep them overseas throughout July. Tickets for many of the currently announced shows are available now; visit ZZ Top's official site for details.
